My beloved 1954 Seeburg 100 packed in about 2yrs ago I left it just to sit there, about 5 weeks ago I decided to give it to Rob after his ad popped up on FB, Robs Jukebox Restorations In Wakefield, I’d had it imported from the US and not realised how bad a condition it was in an ex termite mound that played music lol, Rob took it to his workshop and I can only say it looks like it’s just come out of the factory brand new, absolutely blown away by the restoration. I just can’t recommend Rob highly enough absolutely brilliant guy, founder of the Grumbleweeds and jukebox Restorer Extraordinaire, the box is in pride of place looking and sounding stunning, 💯Brilliant👊😎👊
Hi Robin, Just a huge thank you to you sir for such a fantastic restoration on the 1962 Rock-Ola princess 1493 Jukebox you sold to my wife Lorraine. From the moment my son and I arrived to pick up this time machine we were given a warm welcome, offered tea/coffee and shown around his wonderful home full of Jukeboxes. I felt like a kid in a candy store. He demonstrated the Jukebox, offered maintenance tips freely, a warranty un-seen elsewhere and his number to call for advice, tips etc. When he showed us his other Jukes he showed the insides of the machines and they were as impressive on the inside as they are to look at. What strikes you is the enormous excitement and enthusiasm he has for these wonderful machines. His energy and knowledge of the subject is incredible but with no pressure to sell you something you don't want. These 'labour-of-love machines are like they just rolled off the production line, you will fall in love with them as soon as you see their warm glow, drop in a coin and that warm, sweet sound rolls across your ears, the mechanism picks and loads your record and you've caught the Jukebox Bug. Yes, it is terminal, you will die of sheer bliss!
Thank you, Robin Our new Friend From Adam & Lorraine
Robin restored a BAL- AMI model J for me in bespoke Coca Cola colours to blend in with the theme in my games room. I wasn’t prepared to accept second best on anything, especially when I was spending serious money on a jukebox which these days is considered quite an investment. There are plenty of jukebox restorers out there with a “ That’ll do” attitude; Robin is not one of them. To Robin it’s not a job, it’s a passion bringing these jukeboxes back from the dead and he loves his work, and it shows in his restorations. I am very happy to report that he didn’t disappoint with my jukebox; it looks as good as new to me, not just on the outside but the inside as well. If you’re still wondering who to invest your money in and you don’t want second best I can tell you now to stop looking.
Initially, I was apprehensive about releasing my 'beloved jukebox' to Robin - firstly I didn't even know him apart from media narratives and recommendations. Secondly, I reside in London and in contrast Robin in Wakefield, Yorkshire. (Not withstanding the pandemic we are all experiencing at present and my inability to travel). "That said, my brother and I (nervously) joked about the fact when Martin (Robin's sidekick) came to pick up the Jukebox, that once home, he would joke to his friends that he'd just picked up a valuable jukebox (worth in the region of £3-4k in its present condition) and the guy not only gave me his precious Jukebox but paid me £100 (cash) to take it away" Joking aside, any anxiety or apprehension was 'washed away' when Robin kindly rang me a few days later to say it had arrived safely. Robin undertook a full restoration, in particular with the internal mechanism - this was in serious need of some tlc. Throughout the process Robin kept me informed of progress. In as much, what he had done and where he had sent certain parts for re-chroming etc. A couple of months later Robin informed me that my Jukebox had been fully restored - he sent me photos and an extensive narrative of the work he had undertaken. On delivery, I must say that I was absolutely delighted with it - it looked and sounded fantastic. I'm fairly confident that I could not have found anyone better to undertake this type of work. His knowledge is unmistakably brilliant. Looking forward, I shall definitely keep in contact with Robin should I require further work and / or assistance / advice etc. In closing, Robin didn't disappoint. His standard of workmanship is 'first class' - he did a superb job on restoring my 'beloved Jukebox' to it former glory, furthermore look surprisingly new(ish). Robin's passion, commitment let alone his quality of craftsmanship is commended. If you want 'value for money' coupled with 'high end' engineering - look no further - 'Robin's your man'. Have had a great experience buying a Rockola Tempo Jukebox off Rob, so knowledgeable and positive, Ive wanted this machine for twenty years and Robs totally restored a super example for me really pleased its looks wonderful. Delivery all arranged we are enjoying using it daily and i'll be enjoying it for years to come, thanks Rob!
We started the research and search for a jukebox and someone to restore it in early September 2020. After spending hours scouring the internet I came across Rob’s website, I read everything on his site and watched all his restoration videos and I was convinced that I had found the right person for the job.
Looking on his stock page I noticed that he had an AMI H200 for restoration and after a very friendly call to him to discuss the restoration process and cost we arranged a visit to go and see him. Rob had various restored jukeboxes and work in progress, it was clear that Rob is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work, his workmanship is second to none, they look as good on the inside as they do on the outside, it’s as if he restores every jukebox as if it was for himself, so we gave him the go ahead to restore the AMI for us.
After a few weeks Rob started the restoration, he kept us updated throughout on its progress and sent us photos. In early December the jukebox was delivered and I must say that we are absolutely delighted with it, it looks and sounds amazing and I am sure that we could not have found anyone better to do the work for us. We will definitely be using Rob again should we need anything else in the future.

Rob restored a Wurlitzer 1100 for us and I honestly can not speak highly enough of Robs work. He kept us updated throughout on a regular basis of how the restoration was going, parts needed also the costs of both the parts and postage. If your looking for someone to carry out a service, repair, part or full restoration look no further than Rob’s restorations. He achieves the highest standards In every aspect, he has a superior amount of subject matter expertise, enthusiasm and passion, probably the best bit is that he treats every machine as it it were his own and completes all work to the highest possible standard, this man will not accept second best and constantly goes the extra mile to produce first class results. We were not treated as just another customer, we were treated as friends and it’s now our privilege to call Rob a friend. If you are prepared to accept a disappointing end result, if your happy to be over charged and simply want mediocre workmanship I wholeheartedly recommend you go elsewhere! BUT If it’s first class, top quality that is extremely reasonably priced (another company quoted me almost double for only two thirds of the work that rob completed) please do yourself justice and give Rob a call. You will not be disappointed.

I was first made aware of Robs restoration work when a friend of mine bought a Rock Ola Tempo off him as a result of that I sent both my jukebox’s to him to sort out the mech and amplifiers on them and are now both sounding and working amazing.
After speaking to Rob I bought a Seeburg V200 off Ebay and had him do a full restoration on it and I am over the moon with the job he has done. The pictures on his site do not do it justice and you have to see it in the flesh to really appreciate how stunning the cabinet work is.
To anyone who is looking to buy a jukebox that looks and sounds like it just came out of the showroom I would say they would be hard pushed to find anyone doing a better job than Rob.

“The quality of Rob’s workmanship is beyond reproach. I have owned my 1957 AMI 200 JAH since 1983. My kids have grown up with it and as a family we have had many years of enjoyment from it. However it had stopped working properly and looked rather sad when I spotted Robs website. Following the restoration it now looks and sounds like it has come straight out of a showroom !
Thank you Rob.”

For many years I had wanted a jukebox. My son said to me that I should go for it.
Where though?
I chanced upon Robin and what a wonderful piece of luck that was.
I am now the proud owner of a beautiful red AMI J200 with Coca Cola design which was lovingly brought back to life by Robin.
Looking at the workings and the chrome, the machine cannot have been any more pristine when it first came out of the store all those years ago.
There is no doubt that Robin’s attention to detail and love for his craft is second to none. Also, in the unlikely event that you have a problem, his after sales service and friendly personality will soon put you at ease.
Highly recommended.

“I first heard about Robin when I heard his advert on eBay. After our first two telephone conversations, it became obvious that I couldn’t find a better man to look after my precious jukeboxes.
Rob has restored four classic jukeboxes for me now and i couldn't be happier with the quality and craftmanship of his work.
My subsequent experiences proved this to be correct and I cannot express adequately how much I appreciate his attention, good nature and abundant skill.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him to you, whether you need a complete re-build or a simple service of your box.”
The Machines Rob has restored for me are Rock-Ola 403, AY 160, Seeburg 222 and a Ditchburn that i never thought would ever play again. I was wrong.

Having owned various Silverage machines for 30 years, visited shows around the country and Europe, jumped on trains to every part of the UK viewing machines, two things i've learnt in all those years is that this can be a very expensive hobby if you don't find the right restoration engineer but I also know the standard of workmanship that can be achieved, if you do find the right one. After studying Rob's restorations on his website and YouTube, I knew this was the specialist I was looking for.
From first contact, Rob listened to everything I wanted from a ground up restoration. Rob kept me updated on a regular basis from the right machine being sourced in the USA to being delivered to his workshop. Rob provided quality detailed photos on a weekly basis, from the machine in it's original condition, to being stripped to a bare shell then taking me right through every part of the restoration. Rob's knowledge means he does'nt cut any corners and his many years of experience provided advice when needed, ensuring the machine would replicate when new with no hidden costs. By the end of the restoration, I was fully confident that there would be no need to visit and view the machine. Rob also organised professional door to door transportation, taking full responsibility, making sure the machine reached me in perfect condition.
Without a doubt, Rob's Restorations provided the full all round service I'd be looking for this past 30 years
I have bought over the years about a dozen classic Jukeboxes and after having a couple of bad experiences with so called restorers i was getting to the point where i would totally give up trying to find someone that did the work to a high standard.
A couple of well known restorers here in the UK did nothing short of a botched job for high money.
I thought all was lost until a friend recommended me to Rob and he has done everything he said he would do for virtually half the cost of the other so called restorers.
I know now that machines that are restored by Rob and restored to a point where everything was stripped right down to the base and then bit by bit put back together.
Robs work is exceptional. The other restorers was purely about money but with Rob he loves what he does and my god does it show.
Recently Rob has restored a Seeburg VL200 Jukebox for me. It came from the USA in probably the worst state i have ever seen one, but with Robs dedication to detail and his his total love of these great classic machines it looks like it was new straight from the factory.
I would highly recommend Rob to anyone. He certainly is the best around.
Thank you so much for the excellent refurbishment of my Wurlizer 2304s Jukebox. The jukebox now looks great on both the inside and outside. I am over the moon with the attention to detail, it looks to me that every part of the jukebox has been cleaned and reassembled, in fact the inside looks new. I am also massively impressed with the improvement in sound quality, it sounds fantastic now.
It has been an all round massive improvement, I would have no hesitation in recommending you to other jukebox owners, well worth the investment.
Thank you Rob, much appreciated.
